This painting was originally created only in India ink in black and white; it depicted Pablo Picasso and the torments of Guernica, but in a positive sense, by only incorporating elements from Guernica that symbolize a form of hope: the lantern, the sun, the bull, and finally the small flower that appears tiny in the Guernica painting.
But after the somewhat dark period we have just gone through with the pandemic and the lockdown, I wanted to take back certain paintings and absolutely add color to them. It is a way to fight against the gloom of everyday life, like a vital necessity to offer another world full of color.
