Inspired by Pablo Picasso's famous painting Guernica, I wanted to take only part of the painting, choosing only the aspects that might seem positive by reorienting them towards another context.
Here, it is the famous horse and the eye or the bomb (depending on the interpretations) which is located at the top of the painting. The bomb becomes a sun in relief, heat and energy which illuminates the horse symbolizing the strength of the values inscribed with fragments of newspapers on its flank. It is hope which is reborn with the hand which carries a torch, after the very troubled period which we have just lived with the pandemic. The colors are bright and flamboyant between the two symbols of the countries of my heart with the Eiffel Tower (for France) and the Casa de Correos, the famous Puerta del Sol (for Spain).
