Artistic impression of the painting "Che Enfermera".
This multi-colored painting was inspired by the famous We Can Do It! propaganda poster. American made in 1943 , during the Second World War , by J. Howard Miller for Westinghouse Electric , in a campaign to remotivate employees.
It was used to promote feminism in the 1980s in particular [ 2 ] .
The painting is a work that clearly refers to the current context where the public hospital is at the end of its rope and has been hit hard by the Corona Virus crisis due to a clear lack of resources and, above all, protection. A pure scandal that has left both the medical world and the essential professions on the front lines completely helpless.
The weight and manipulation of the media are represented by newspaper headlines hidden under the mask but which can be glimpsed through the transparency of the fabric.
The colors on his face and arm pay tribute to the courage and resilience of all those people who put themselves in danger to care for, care for, or feed our entire society.
It is also a tribute to all the women who fought for our rights.
