BIOGRAPHY

Delphine Sénéchal, better known under the artist name Artedelph, is passionate about the Hispanic world and Iberian culture. She studied languages.

Foreign Literature and Civilizations before teaching Spanish for many years. That's why it's important that his passion also continues as an artist, introducing the word "art" through "arte" in Spanish in his artist name.

She was immersed in the artistic world from a very early age and also practiced contemporary dance for a long time (which highlights the expression and transmission of many messages and emotions.) In 2013, she was the victim of a car accident and a few days later, she experienced the loss of one of her loved ones, who symbolized all the Paradise of her childhood ... As for the accident, it was one of the triggers of a chronic and autoimmune disease. During the mourning period, her first reaction was to put her pain and sadness on paper, just by lining up words. But that was not strong enough, she was boiling inside and could no longer control herself ... From one day to the next, she imagined buying brushes and paint (even though she had never used them before), to externalize everything that inflamed her from the inside. Surprisingly, her hand began to create movements, shapes and colors on the immaculate white paper and this was the beginning of a great passion. ... Gradually imprisoned in a body that could no longer move forward and function normally, her desire to paint quickly transformed into a vital necessity.

An eternal optimist, her works symbolize and reveal the beauty of the present moment. And little by little, thanks to the internet, she began to learn drawing and different painting techniques and to progress without even having to move. Abstract art seemed obvious to her, and as the richest and most liberating way to express herself at first. She therefore learned to tame materials, mediums, colors and to explore different techniques that allow the creation of relief, shine and matter; which allowed her to build her universe. Then over the years, she moved towards more figurative paintings which, according to her, allow a more effective interaction with the viewer.

She is very interested in Art as therapy, letting go and well-being.

In the future, she would like to be able to train to pass on all the richness that painting brings her. In reality, The Creative Gesture allows us to show that despite the weakness or disarray in which we may find ourselves, we are all capable of transforming and sublimating them through a creative force and energy that has the power to overcome the darkest moments of our history...
